PKD, or Polycystic Kidney Disease was another project I accomplished over summer semester. This comparison was to be an editorial piece showing a healthy kidney versus a polycystic kidney. PKD is an autosomal dominant disease showing symptoms later in life. There is no cure for PKD, so one of the options for “treatment” is organ transplantation.

Summer semester has officially ended and now I am able to put up some of my latest works.
This piece is demonstrating an editorial about nasolacrimal duct cysts. These cysts are blockages in the nasolacrimal duct, where tears normally flow from the eye to the nose.
Done using 3d Studio Max and Photoshop:
Modeling of the human eye, equipped with UVW mapping, Mr area spot light, and ray trace shadows. Oh, and the Northern Lights…just for good measure 🙂
Background and checkerboard floor is merely in scene to convey refractive index of human eye…
Further exploration of the 3D eye is still to come!
